Composite Meth Test
Composite Methamphetamine Testing (often referred to as an initial screening) is undertaken to determine if methamphetamine is present in the property or not.
This test uses a combination of multiple swab samples taken at the property and analysed together to give a single result.
This single result is the maximum amount of methamphetamine present in the combined samples. Initial testing is the simplest and cheapest form of testing.
Betta Group testing is undertaken by an NZQA qualified testing assessor and all results analysed by an IANZ accredited laboratory.

- One result for the whole property
- A potential maximum level for the property is provided, which often indicates more than is actually present in each individual room

- If the level is over standard guidelines, further testing is required

Detailed Meth Test
Detailed Methamphetamine Testing (often referred to as a room by room test) is undertaken once a positive initial methamphetamine test has been undertaken or when you are aware smoking or manufacture has occurred in the property.
Detailed testing is when a sample is taken in each room. The size and surface types will determine the number of samples required in line with the NZ5810:2017 standard.
This test determines the exact amount of meth in each room. From detailed testing accurate decontamination advice can be determined.
Betta Group testing is NZS8510:2017 compliant and is undertaken by a NZQA qualified assessor.
