Ministry of Education
PROJECT
Te Haratau Programme
As one of six suppliers to the Ministry of Education – Te Haratau project, Betta Group tendered and subsequently were awarded the contract to supply physical inspection services across every school in New Zealand.
Betta Group’s responsibility in the engagement was to complete physical Condition Assessments and provide Reporting across the allocated portfolio of schools.
Betta Group used the Ministry of Education’s web & mobile based app to supply the data information required. Our process was methodical, timely and accurate, enabling the Ministry of Education to access and analyse data throughout the Te Haratau project. This fed into Te Rautaki Rawa Kura – The School Property Strategy 2030.
Betta Group was required to provide up to the minute data to be used for planning in multiple areas across the Ministry of Education.
The project required expert building condition assessments and maintenance schedules tailored to educational facilities. The detailed reports used NAMS* to outline the condition of school buildings and all assets within the premises, identifying visible defects and health & safety concerns, helping schools to proactively manage their assets.
Betta Group’s services enable schools to make informed decisions about maintenance and compliance, aligning with Ministry of Education standards and supporting safe, well-maintained learning environments. Betta Group’s nationwide network of qualified inspectors delivered reliable, professional advice to assist school boards and project managers throughout the planning and maintenance phases of school property projects.
