Healthy Homes Assessments, Condition Assessment & Asbestos Surveys for the Department of Conservation
The Department of Conservation (DOC) required Healthy Homes Assessments, Condition Assessments and Asbestos Surveys to be completed on its properties in remote locations throughout the NZ.
Due to the remote locations, it was requested that all inspections be completed together allowing for significant budget savings.
The Healthy Homes Assessments, Condition Assessments and Asbestos Surveys were required to have enough information for DOC contractors to be able to scope and price the work without visiting the site. This included conducting a physical inspection and assessing the current condition of the building using the NAMS* condition rating, assessing the building based on the Healthy Homes legislation and inspecting, identifying & reporting on any Asbestos materials present.
Betta Group were required to inspect and report on the current condition of the building asset and provide information on the work that was required, confirming quantities of materials and any enabling work required. Additional photos were required to assist with remedial scoping at a later date.
* The purpose of the New Zealand Asset Management Support (NAMS) Special Interest Group is to lead and support good practice in the management of community and infrastructure assets.
