The Betta Group Health & Safety Management System supports the achievement of our business aims and ensures we are compliant with the Health & Safety at Work Act 2015, associated regulations, and other relevant legislation and Codes of Practice. Qualifications & Processes
Alongside our standard qualifications, Betta Group complete organisation specific health and safety induction and adhere to site specific protocols.
This was evidenced in our Ministry of Education and Ministry of Justice government contracts.
Our team of professional inspectors provides:

- Impac Prequalification Certified
- All Betta Inspectors are Police Vetted
- Data security with multi-factor authentication
- On site Inspector reporting
- Full inspector health & safety training
- Be Safe unit training for working from heights & in confined spaces

- BOHS IP405 certification
- NZS8510:2017 methamphetamine sampling & screening certification
Ministry of Education
Although most of the Inspectors had worked previously at schools throughout NZ, this project required the team to complete additional training.
- Betta Inspectors trained in the site-specific requirements
- All inspectors were required to sign in and out of a school
- All Betta Inspectors were in uniform which made them easily identifiable
- Inspectors trained in reporting standards per school
- Head Office reported on any urgent Health & Safety
- All Inspectors were completing daily reporting
- All Inspectors are Police Vetted
Ministry of Justice
Inspecting working Courthouses throughout NZ represented a unique challenge which the Betta Inspectors adapted to. This project required our team to have all area access and therefore it was essential that full health and safety protocols were followed at all times.
- Betta Inspectors and head office staff were all required to undergo Ministry of Justice vetting
- All staff completed full Health & Safety induction for the Court environment
- Inspectors reported all Heath & Safety concerns immediately
- Inspectors were required to be in uniform and wear Betta Group high visibility vests on site at all times
- Inspectors were briefed on the tools that were acceptable to take on site

Betta Property Compliance complete Healthy Homes assessments to ensure the health & safety of tenants.
All Healthy Homes reports are Tenancy Services compliant and all legislation is adhered to. The Routine Compliance Assessment helps landlords and Property Managers to maintain compliance on an ongoing basis, protecting everyone.
Specialised testing: science meets safety
Betta Asbestos Consultancy asbestos sampling and surveying services are designed to provide you with up to the minute information on the status of asbestos in a property. All samples are sent to the IANZ accredited Hills Laboratory to process. Our IP402 industry-trained Inspectors deliver results you can trust. Keeping you and the community safe.
Methamphetamine Testing
Betta Property Compliance sampling and testing services are helping to protect the community from meth contamination. Our quick turn-around times mean that you can get the information you need to make decisions that can protect you and your investment. All samples are sent to IANZ accredited Hills Laboratory to process.
